Planned Giving

Charitable Gift Annuities

A charitable bequest is a gift designated in a Last Will or Testament during your lifetime that becomes available to the charitable organization(s) after your and/or your spouse’s death.

The primary characteristic that distinguishes a bequest from many other planned gifts is its revocable nature, i.e. you can change your mind. Therefore, there is no charitable income tax deduction for a bequest.

If deferring a gift until after your lifetime is what works best for you a bequest is a simple and easy way to continue to support your favorite charitable organizations after your lifetime.
